This is easy!
I don't care if the charity has 501(c)3 (tax deductible) status or not. I only care that they are a group of people organized to help other people.
I DO have a few common sense restrictions. I will NOT use this system to support;
Political parties or groups;
Abortion Issues (either side)
Gun Control issues (either side)
Hate groups
Groups that restrict religious, sexual, environmental or personal freedoms (such as those above)
I especially WANT to support;
Animal shelters/rights
Battered women
Entrepreneur outreach for kids, disadvantaged etc.
Pro-Environment groups
Pro-Empowerment groups
Groups that help disadvantaged people learn new skills
and so on.
A casual search of charities in your area will probably turn up literally hundreds of groups and organizations like these.
Simply send out an email to as many of them as possible if you don't have a favorite charity already.
Once we get one in your area the ensuing press releases, news stories and PR will help bring others out of the woodwork.
